Tarot is much more than a divination system. It helps give us guidance on all things, and helps keep us connected to ourselves. I am a Tarot reader, reviewer, interviewer, and author (Tarot, Birth Cards, and You: Keys To Empowering Yourself, and Tarot, Rituals & You: The Power of Tarot, Combied With The Power of Ritual), who loves to see where Tarot can take me.

On this site you will find links to Tarot book, deck, and app reviews, interviews, and more.

The very basics of traditional Tarot decks are that the deck consists of 78 cards, each carrying its own energy and meaning. The 22 Major Arcana cards represent archetypal energy, while the 56 Minor Arana cards represent the day to day energies of life, and the people and situations that we encounter. The Minor Arcana is divided into four suits: Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles, which represent our spiritual emotional, mental, and physical energy.

Some decks are Major Arcana only, some decks have additional cards, and some decks have an additional suit. The three main types of decks are the Rider/Waite/Smith, Marseilles, and Thoth decks. Other categories of decks are cloned decks (basically cloned from the Rider/Waite/Smith deck), and thematic decks (including themes such as astrology, Kabballa, Goth, Goddess, Native American, Steampunk and more. A good place to look at Tarot decks, see samples of the cards, and reviews is aecletic.net.

I hope that you enjoy what you see here, and embark on your own Tarot journey!
